Early in 2009 NY Dojo was located at Longview Academy of Extreme Martial Arts at 2098 Clove Rd. Staten Island. NY Dojo was led by Masters World Champion Sensei John Bassano. Looking to expand to a second location New York City Judo was established Sept. 14, 2009 in the Port Richmond section of Staten Island. Due to health reasons, Sensei Bassano was not able to commit to teaching at two locations. Sal Della Croce, a NY Dojo/John Bassano black belt assumed the coaching responsibilities.
